Kawa Coffee is a coffee shop in Colorado Springs focused on creating a community for their customers. I designed Kawa’s brand identity including logo design, website design, menus, signage, window displays, advertising campaigns and coffee labels. I’ve since helped evolve the brand and grow brand loyalty through creating numerous merchandise graphics for apparel, mugs and stickers as well as painting a large scale mural inside the coffee shop.
I worked with Jonathan Finch to bring his photography brand to life through a modern and minimalist treatment. His logo was inspired by his name and the relation to a finch feather and his passion for the outdoors. His new brand identity explored typography, color, design direction that paired with his photography style, website design, and marketing assets. [Photography by Jonathan Finch]
I collaborated with Voilé, a leading backcountry ski and splitboard company, to develop new graphics for their latest ski and splitboard artwork. Starting with the 2021 Hyper V-Tail Splitboard and the Women’s Revelator Splitboard, I created custom, large scale digital illustrations. These graphics are then printed and heat transferred to each splitboard in Utah and sold internationally. The vision for these graphics embodies the journey and awe of the landscapes we travel through in human-powered adventures. You can purchase these splitboards on Voilé's website!
Dynamo Coffee Roasting approached me to create a logo and brand identity that matched their vision for an eclectic and hip but still modern local coffee shop. Pulling vibes from a young skateboard culture and vintage coffee aesthetics, I created a timeless brand identity with a primary logo and typography as well as secondary brand icon to be used across both marketing and merchandise design.
I collaborated with Fisher Brewing to bring their brand to life through bold and colorful beer label designs. Being based in Salt Lake City, the brewery finds connection between good beer and spending time in the mountains. Connecting with their work hard, play hard philosophies, I created artwork for their cans that embodied the mountains and the idea of fresh and juicy beer.
I created digital illustrations for Black Diamond’s apparel campaigns across numerous seasons. This included graphics for men’s and women’s apparel, other merchandise, and a unique logo to represent their women's apparel line. Each graphic was unique, spanned different color palettes, and ranged from hand drawn typography to illustration, but all of them cohesively represented the mountain sports Black Diamond represents through climbing, skiing, and running.
I art directed and designed numerous assets for the campaign launch of Black Diamond’s new climbing shoes. Our goal was bringing awareness to the blend of innovation, engineering, and style, leading to the approach of using illustration to represent the new equipment line as being approachable but still engineered. I designed the campaign logo, created the campaign launch strategy deck, made illustrations used throughout all marketing assets, designed landing pages for each product launch within the campaign and print advertising placed in publications such as Gripped, Climbing, Rock & Ice, and Alpinist magazines. I worked with Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch to bring their vision to life with a completely redesigned website and new marketing pieces. We did an in-depth analysis of the content on the old website and marketing assets and completely overhauled the site design, structure, copy, and photography. The new website now implements easier booking, effective marketing, better integration with partners and events, and a simplified and timeless look and feel. We also created pitch decks for prospective clients that elevated the ranch’s visual identity and has been successful in helping the ranch reach maximum booking capacity a year in advance.
Flock approached me to bring their Women's Sports Initiative non-profit brand to life. The colorful bird and hoop within the logo illustrates freedom, flow, fun, friendship, and unity. Flock's mission is to create an energetic community for girls through sports. This brand identity project defined typography, color, and creative direction to represent Flock's vision.
